UltraClear Lenses
Atomic Aquatics SubFrame models offer a new standard feature never seen or "seen through" before in a diving mask. Called UltraClear lenses.
What makes UltraClear special? Did you ever notice that normal dive mask lenses have a green tint to the glass? To see this tint, put your existing mask up to a piece of white paper and see for yourself. The green tint you see is the result of iron impurities left over in lower quality "float" or window type glass. That green tint distorts true colors and blocks out some of the light that reaches the eye.
UltraClear is a new and exciting optical quality glass with exceptional clarity and high light transmission, with no color distortion. The exceptionally high light transmittance and lack of distortion in the UltraClear lens maximizes the light available for improved visual acuity, especially underwater in low light conditions.

The letters SV stand for Scupper Valve. How it works? When the diver clears the SV2 a small watertight tube located inside the snorkel body is designed to keep the breathing airway path free of collected water droplets. The one way valve or Scupper Valve simply allows water to drain into a lower reservoir each time the diver exhales. The result is SV a crisp clearing, hydrodynamic, snorkel without being big, bulky, and uncomfortable to use
How it works.
The Scupper Valve inside the SV snorkel series works in the same way as the Scupper Valve on a boat. An internal tube (1) located inside the main snorkel body retains a small one way Scupper Flap Valve (2) that allows water to flow past the mouthpiece and out the purge valve, (3) without collecting at the bottom of the breathing passage. The diver simply exhales a small burst of air to clear any water trapped below the mouthpiece, keeping the internal tube airway dry. It’s so simple and so effective.

The Scupper Valve (SV) design is self-draining and delivers crisp, effortless clearing.
(1) Posi-lock flex retainer secures flex section and mouthpiece.
(2) Dual silicone mouthpiece prevents over-clenching of teeth that would restrict air flow.
(3) Rotational mouthpiece with ratchet indicators.
SV2 combines the Scupper Valve lower section with the sleek looking Semi Dry top with horizontal vents that diffuse splashed water that would normally freely enter the top. The small gaps between the vanes of the vent restrict water speed and droplet size and permits most of the splashed water to exit the special vents. Includes Quick Disconnect keeper, sliding snorkel keeper and rotating mouthpiece.
